The Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of REALTORS (NAMAR) had a great turn out for the Election Forum held on June 30, 2008. The forum was for the candidates running for Gwinnett County Commissioner seats. Randal Winfield of Winfield Realty Group was the moderator. He asked the candidates some tough questions regarding their views issues from illegal immigration to their support of the Plumbing Retrofit requirements. The candidates in attendance were Charles Bannister, Lorrain Green, Glenn Pirkle, Carol Hassell, Shirley Fanning Lasseter, Bruce LeVell, Mike Beaudreau and Doug Stacks, Jr.

Not only were Gwinnett County Commissioner seat candidates the focus at NAMAR, but the State House of Representatives were invited to NAMAR on June 26th to discuss their views on issues that affect the real estate industry. GAR’s Tim Kibler, Manager of Government Affairs, and John Barbour, Political Affairs Manager, along with NAMAR’s Executive Vice President, Tom O’Rourke and NAMAR Legislature Committee members Randal Winfield and Garland Smith met with state representatives Brooks Coleman, Bobby Reese, Mike Coan, Clay Cox, David Casas and John Heard.

TerraSol is Now Open for Business

TerraSol Sales CenterCome on by and check out the newly opened sales center at the eco-friendly community TerraSol. The opening has been a long time coming for those interested in Gwinnett County new homes close to the Yellow River that are environment-friendly. The entire community was developed with lifestyle and land use as the top priority, not “how many homes can we squeeze into this lot of land.” As a result, the 128 new homes in Lawrenceville rest in a community with an abundance of preserved woodlands and green space and its very own 3-acre archeological site. All of the amenities at TerraSol, and believe me there are a lot of them, are being constructed with sustainable design principles.

Interior of TerraSol Sales CenterWith homes priced from the $500,000s, this community sounds too good to be true. So, just to make sure none of these features were exaggerated, you should visit the new sales center to see TerraSol for yourself. In keeping with the earth friendly theme of the development, the sales center is an existing home that was newly renovated to showcase this extraordinary, environmentally-friendly community with luxurious homes and sought-after amenities.  (Continued…)
