Kingston on Lake Oconee Welcomes First ‘Homeowners’
Future homeowners have already been secured at the golf course community, Kingston on Lake Oconee. Technically, there aren’t any homeowners yet because neither homesites nor homes have been released for sale, but Kingston on Lake Oconee does have a priority registration list, and it already has 26 names on it! Reservation holders are placed on a priority list and will select their home sites on a first-come-first-served basis. We got a chance to pick the brain on two reservation holders as to get a better understanding of their interest in Kingston on Lake Oconee - David Arnold, president of The Partnership, a marketing firm in Atlanta, and reservation holder number three; and Louie Carter, president of Grayson Homes and reservation holder number 24.

Atlanta Golf Community Wins Its Sixth OBIE
Heron Bay Golf and Country, located in Henry County, took home a silver OBIE award last weekend at the ceremony. This marks the sixth award for this master-planned community in Atlanta. They took home the silver award for Best E-Marketing - Best Interactive Application. This recognition is for all of their hard work developing Henry Heron, his journal, his MySpace page and the Heron Bay Blog. If you have yet to be introduced to Henry Heron, check out his MySpace page or his journal, which is updated weekly. He is proud Heron Bay resident and loves to educate others about why this new community in Locust Grove is such a great place to call home. Fifth Annual Goblin Gallop Breaks Records
The goal for Henry county’s new home community Heron Bay Golf and Country Club was for this year’s Goblin Gallop to be the biggest and best to date. Well, congratulations to the Atlanta golf community because it reached its goal!
The Atlanta charitable event raised over $25,000 for the Hands of Hope Clinic in Henry County. The Hands of Hope Clinic is the only free medical and dental facility in the area, and helps any resident of the county who does not have health insurance with basic medical care and free medications as available. It’s extremely important to keep this medical facility up and running, and the only way to do that is through donations and fundrasing events like the Goblin Gallop. The money raised this year is a tremendous donation for the cause, and Heron Bay should be proud.
In addition to raising a record-setting amount for the clinic, the 6K fun run also had more participants this year than in any previous year. More than 250 individuals donned their running shoes and Halloween costumes (Continued…)

The leaves are falling and it is time to Fall Back. It is also a great opportunity to change the batteries in your smoke detectors and test them to make sure they work properly.
