Carol Flammer Quoted in the AJC

Carol Flammer President and Founder of Flammer Relations, Inc.Did everyone see the feature in the Homefinder section of the AJC on May 4 about the “Terms of Frustration.” If not you should definitely check it out. Not only does it clear up a lot of misconceptions as to what a “gourmet kitchen” or “spa bath” is, but it also used Carol Flammer’s expertise in the industry to help define these fequently used marketing terms. Carol Flammer is the President and Founder of Flammer Relations, Inc. - a public relations and social media firm that specializes in real estate. She is also the creator of Atlanta’s favorite real estate blog. With decades of experience in the home building industry, it is no wonder that AJC reporter Lori Johnston asked Flammer for her opinion on this feature story. Flammer’s involvement with Atlanta real estate has given her great insight as to the misconception between builders and buyers with phrases like “oversized master suites” and “gourmet kitchens.” Apparently buyers have been disappointed with products that are described with such broad terms. So, if these phrases have been a source of frustration and confusion for you, read the full article to get an idea of what to expect when you hear “open floor plan” and “in-law suite.” Oh, and to make sure you stay up-to-date with the hip lingo of the industry, this article also features a list of what phrases are out and the new terms that have replaced them.
