Buying Your First Home? Do It On TV
HGTV’s “My First Place” is coming to Atlanta, and they are looking for first-time home buyers (and their agents) who would like to be on the TV show. My First Place captures the human drama of finding and financing one’s first place, and ends with the home buyers taking possession of their first home. They will be shooting 6 episodes here in Atlanta.
Applicants should be very motivated to buy and not mind having a camera crew standing by to shoot all of the exciting (and not-so-exciting) processes and experiences of finding and financing their first home. Applicants should be ready to start looking in November, with a reasonable expectation of closing within about 90 days. They must also be within 90 minutes of Atlanta.
Although the focus is on the home buyers, their agent get significant exposure on the show. The agents will keep the producer informed on the key events as they come up (house hunt, bid, inspection, closing, etc.) so cameras can get there ASAP. Taping takes place between September 2007 and January 2008.
Candidates who are chosen for the show will also receive a unique SURPRISE that HGTV has picked just for them. To request and application or for more information, contact Cole Schneider at 303-712-3262 or cschneider@highnoonentertainment.com.
