Builder Magazine Releases Top 100 Builders
Builder Magazine’s May 2008 issue features the Top 100 Builders nationally for 2007. Many of Atlanta’s hometown builders make this list, as well as some of the nationals that are based in this fine southern city.
8 - Beazer Homes USA
34 - McCar Homes (up from 39)
37 - Aston Woods Homes
43 - Bowen Family Homes (up from 48)
53 - John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods (up from 56)
56 - Scenic Homes
60 - Wood Partners (up from 90)
63 - Novare Group ( up from 77)
71 -Trammell Crow Residential (up from 118)
Making the next 100 list include R&B Construction, Meridian Homes USA, Robert Harris Homes, Winmark Homes, Peachtree Residential Properties, Traton Homes and Venture Homes. For the complete story, go to www.BuilderOnline.com. It seems that most Atlanta new home builders are using the current downturn to gain market share.
Of interest to me is Habitat for Humanity International based in Americus, Ga. This organization appears at 14 on the list.
