Bring New Kitchen Countertop Designs from the Pacific Coast Builder’s Conference Home

An active kitchen countertop island with seatingSan Francisco’s Pacific Coast Builder’s Conference is always full of new design ideas for all over the home. We’ve put together some notes about the cool kitchen trends that we can help you bring home with just a stop at one of the Construction Resources design centers in Georgia, Florida or Alabama.

The kitchen, as usual, was the star of the show with new ways to make the most out of kitchen countertops. Designers continue to listen and work with chefs about the importance of working space and how to design a better central prep island. Modifications to islands were also on display which showed initiatives to make them comfortable for multiple chefs to work in on big meals.

Designers are also expanding islands from being a work area to a communal area that can help serve as an eat-in area of the kitchen. New seating arrangements are being used that can be more conducive to conversation, with stools along two or even three perpendicular edges of the island, the way they would be at a conventional table.

If you are interested in remodeling or building your next kitchen with these new designs, we are are ready to help with superior materials like Cambria, Bonotti luxury Italian marble, and Artisan Group specialty surfaces. To learn more or see full slabs and samples of any of these materials, just stop by our slab gallery at 224 Rio Circle in Decatur, Georgia.
