Bowen Family Homes Sponsors Gwinnett Children’s Shelter Dinner

Bowen Family Homes recently sponsored the Gwinnett Children’s Shelter 6th annual dinner on April 18. More than 240 guests attended the “Denim and Diamonds” themed dinner, and they enjoyed Pappy Red’s Bar-B-Que as well as Rudy Bowen’s famous ribs. Counterpoint Bluegrass Band provided the musical entertainment, and Jeff Fozworthy provided a hilarious stand-up comedy routine. Guest pledges and silent and live auctions raised $164,000 during the dinner to serve as general operating funds for the shelter.

Bowen Family Homes has a long history with the children’ shelter, since they began their involvement in 2003. They sponsor various events throughout the year, and Rudy Bowen and David Bowen are members of the Children’s Shelter’s Board of Trustees, and Mike Phelps serves as a member of the Board of Directors.
