Bowen Family Homes enjoys raising money for Relay for Life

bowen-nr-logo.jpgBowen Family Homes recently invited its employees to “Sugar-Coat Your Supervisor” when they sponsored a fund-raiser for the company’s American Cancer Society Relay for Life team. The in-office rivalry, along with other fund-raisers during the week, raised nearly $4,400 for the charity.

Employees were invited to give money to the supervisor they’d most like to see receive a pie in the face. Brave supervisors who volunteered for the fun were Steve Palmer, Mike Moore, Jimmy Dunnett, Corbitt Woods, and Steve Norris. Throughout the week, employees donated money to each supervisor, and the supervisor with the most money at the end of the week received a pie in the face. Bowen Family Homes’ owners bowen.jpgwrote checks to even out the supervisors’ donations to equal $383 each, so all five supervisors received a pie in the face.

Additionally, Bowen Family Homes offered Denim Days where employees could pay $5 to wear blue jeans all week. These tactics prove to be effective and fun ways to raise money for a great cause.
