Atlanta’s Top 10 Homebuilders Revealed

new homes from PulteThe Atlanta Business Chronicle’s popular Book of Lists, an annual publication from the journal, was recently released and the ranking of the Top 10 Atlanta Home Builders is among the 200 plus pages of lists included within the book. This list is based on the number of homes closed in 2011.

This year Pulte Group tops the Home Builder’s list with 599 homes closed in 2011, an increase from their no. 2 spot on the list last year. Another Atlanta builder who moved up this year was no. 6 Traton Homes LLC up from the no. 7 spot. Others maintained their standings from last year, such as no. 3 Ashton Woods Homes (Atlanta), no. 5 Ryland Homes and no. 9 Sharp Residential. At the bottom of the list at no. 10 is Jeff Lindsey Communities, with 67 homes closed in 2011.

As predicted last year, the entrance of another National Builder into the market for new homes in Atlanta created stiffer competition at the top of the builder list. Lennar Communities successfully jumped to the no. 4 spot with 178 homes closed in 2011.

A number of Atlanta Real Estate Forum participants are included in this year’s Top 10, and we are pleased to congratulate them on their accomplishments!
