Atlanta Will Lead the Housing Recovery
UBS analysts, David Goldberg and Alexander Goldfarb, have already predicted which geographic regions will be the first to rebound from the national housing slump. Big Builder News reported that UBS put Atlanta, Charlotte, and Texas at the top of their list for leading in the housing recovery because of their ability to retain a pretty good market while the rest of the nation suffers. Other factors were affordability, inventory, and economic growth. The analysts also agreed that the single-family home and new construction markets will be the first to bounce back. Economic analysts from BlueSmoke in Atlanta also agree with these findings and even have said that the recovery has already started here in Georgia. Several real estate experts and AJC articles have spoke fondly of the Atlanta real estate market and urged Atlantans to be thankful and even optimistic in spite of the national hardships. Whether you believed those countless articles telling us to count our blessings or not, this type of national prediction should really have Atlantans feeling hopeful and confident about our real estate market.
