Atlanta Remains a Hot Market

Through the collaboration of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, numerous new home builders and allied organizations, the Get Home Atlanta! campaign is informing consumers on the facts about why now is a great time to buy a home in Atlanta.

One of the top 10 reasons why now is a great time to buy a home in Atlanta is that Atlanta has continued to remain a hot market. Atlanta is ranked 4 nationally in home sales. According to an August 28 article in Bloomberg, while other cities show a year-over-year decrease in prices for the month of August, values climbed in Atlanta. According to the same article, the Commerce Department reported median prices of homes rose 0.6 percent from a year earlier. Although there may be a decline in home values and sales nationally, Atlanta is standing strong and giving potential home buyers yet another reason to buy a new home.
