Happy New Year – Predictions for 2010

Happy New YearsHappy 2010 from Atlanta Real Estate Forum. We hope you rung in the New Year happily, safely and warmly.

We have five predictions for Hot Atlanta real estate trends in 2010. Here are our top picks:

  1. Homestead Exemptions for 2010 – Atlanta home buyers will make sure not to miss out on these tax deductions. Apply before the deadline to save money on your taxes.
  2. Existing homeowners will look for ways to take advantage of the $6,500 move up homebuyers tax credit. Look for homeowners to move -up, right-size or just move closer to work.
  3. First time buyers will continue to take advantage of the $8,000 Home Buyer tax credit. With just a few months to go, we are anticipating an early spring for the housing market.
  4. Creative financing and mortgages. Homebuyers will continue to seek products such as the USDA Rural Development loans to qualify for loans and get zero down.
  5. Homebuyers will continue to flock to social media sites looking for ways to connect. Although social media doesn’t sell homes, it does form relationships, build brand and create leads. Look for this to be a continued hot topic.

Our New Year’s resolution is to continue to provide our readers with the latest news and trends in Atlanta Real Estate. If you like our content, please link to Atlanta Real Estate Forum or bookmark the site.
