Atlanta Kitchen Partners with HomeAid for Renovations
Atlanta Kitchen donated countertops and labor to help renovate a home in College Park for homeless teenage mothers. They installed Staron and Corian solid surfaces as well as stainless steel sinks with backsplashes in the units. Both Staron and Corian surfaces are welcoming and elegant, yet practical, easy to maintain and nonporous, offering a safe choice for the teenagers and children that will soon call the newly renovated duplexes home.
The College Park duplex is a project undertaken by HomeAid Atlanta. The non-profit organization of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association has been working on renovating this particular home since April. With the help of local vendors, like Atlanta Kitchen, the duplex has received drywall repairs, new appliances and faucets, new floors, repairs to the electrical and plumbing system, new light fixtures and more. The countertops donated by Atlanta Kitchen bring the project one step closer to completion.
Once completed, the duplex will be operated by Tapesty Youth Ministries and will serve young mothers between the ages of 10 and 23 who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
It’s always nice to see companies taking an active involvement in the local community. Great job Atlanta Kitchen!
