Designer Completes Sovereign Penthouse

Recently, Pat Harris, a notable Atlanta interior designer had the unique opportunity of decorating a 3,500 square foot Atlanta penthouse for one of her clients at Sovereign, Atlanta’s finest luxury high-rise located at 3344 Peachtree Road/Sovereign in Buckhead. It was truly a project that many in the interior design field would love to get there hands on, literally and figuratively. In addition to designing the interior, Harris was also afforded the opportunity of spending countless hours decorating the more than 1,100 square feet of outdoor living space.

Harris, who designed the home for entertaining, used Tuscan colors with both old and new styles to create what she considers an “ageless beauty.” Many have compared the interior to that of a luxury Madison Avenue apartment in New York City, while many say the exterior would be something found in South Beach.

Sovereign is a mixed-use high-rise in Buckhead that offers commercial offices on the lower portion of the building, while the top portion houses 82 luxury residences. Each home offers breathtaking views of downtown Atlanta or Buckhead. The luxurious amenities at Sovereign include a zero-entry, saline-infused heated pool, a 5,000 square foot health club, a residential art collection hand-picked and designed by the world-renowned artist Todd Murphy, 24-hour concierge service, three clubs rooms, individual wine storage, exclusive membership to the Buckhead Club and much more. Sovereign is what the phrase “living in the lap of luxury” really means.

Harris began practicing design in the early 1980s and has worked with many clients including multi-million dollar companies, low-budget start-ups and social service organizations as well as residential spaces. Many of her business space clients later come to her to design their own homes as well. Her philosophy of “home as sanctuary” has led her to designs that inspire and enlighten.
