Don’t Miss the High Museum’s Annual Artful Garden Tour

Atlanta garden tourWhether you’re a gardening expert or just keen on enjoying the beautiful colors of Spring, you’ll want to see the extraordinary gardens showcased during the annual Artful Garden Tour on May 15th.

A featured event from the High Museum of Art, the Artful Garden Tour features different gardens throughout Atlanta that focus on spectacular art and design. To sum it up, these are no ordinary gardens. On the 2010 Tour, you’ll get to see a formal French garden with an exquisite fountain as the focal point. Another featured garden includes a private lake with a boathouse and pergola. For all of you that love to grow your own food, there will be a garden on the tour that includes a fenced herb and vegetable garden. Tours are self-guided so you can spend as much time as you like in each location. The gardens are in the Buckhead, Chastain and Sandy Springs areas and tours will be held rain or shine on Saturday, May 15th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Keep in mind that while you are exploring these beautiful creations, you are also helping one of Atlanta’s landmarks as all proceeds from the Artful Garden Tour benefit the High Museum of Art. Be sure to take in the different features of each garden to get some unique ideas for your own garden.

If you purchase tickets before May 12th, they are only $20. From May 12 to May 15, prices increase to $25.
