Make Plans to Attend the Super Bowl in February

PWSB_logoYou may be unaware, but Atlanta is going to be home to the 2010 Super Bowl, the Peggy-Waskom Super Bowl that is. Don’t get so disappointed, this event is actually going to be a lot of fun and benefits a great cause. Proceeds from the February 9th event will go to the Georgia Apartment Industry Education Foundation (GAIEF), a non-profit organization that works to increase awareness about all of the career possibilities in the apartment industry. The GAIEF is working with the Georgia Department of Education, the Department of Technical and Adult Education and the Georgia Career Academy Network to educate students about career opportunities in the apartment industry. The GAIEF will provide learning modules and curriculum to high-schools and technical colleges across the state.

The Peggy Waskom Superbowl event is in honor of Peggy Waskom (go figure!). Peggy perfectly exemplified what the GAIEF is all about. She worked hard to advance the state of the industry through training, better communication and excellent customer services. With the support of the community, the GAIEF will hopefully be able to recruit and attract more Peggy-minded individuals to become part of the apartment industry. So, this brings up back to the main event- the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl is a bowling tournament for apartment owners and managers as well as vendors. There are sponsorship opportunities available as well. The 2010 Super Bowl is the first annual Peggy Waskom Super Bowl and it will take place on Tuesday, February 9th. Let’s help make the inaugural event a tremendous success!
