Mitch Hires Named to Artisan Group Board of Directors
Congratulations to Mitch Hires, the president and co-owner of Construction Resources, Inc., as he was just inducted as one of the board of directors for Artisan Group™. In this position, he will serve a two-year term.
Construction Resources, Inc. has been a member of The Artisan Group for almost one full year. It is a premier network of stone fabricators in North America who have joined together to exclusively offer the Artisan Stone Collection, which is the first and only natural stone countertop with a residential limited lifetime warranty. The extensive network of the Artisan Group allows the organization to offer the world’s best granite from the best sources around the globe. Of course, the Artisan Stone Collection features more than just granite countertops, they also have a selection of marble and now soapstone. Artisan Group members also offer Heritage Wood, which is a line of custom, high-end, solid wood countertops. Construction Resources is the only Artisan Group member in the state of Georgia, so it is a natural fit for Mitch Hires to be named to the board of directors.
There is no denying that Mitch’s entrepreneurial experience will make him a valuable resource for the board of directors. Mitch graduated from The University of Georgia in 1990 and started work at Atlanta Marble Mfg, a cultured marble facility. After only seven years, Mitch and his brother, Sonny Hires, bought out their father’s partner and started Atlanta Kitchen. Since then, they have started and operated Atlanta Glass and Mirror, International Bath Corporation, Florida Bath and Surfaces, Innovative Surfaces, and National Stone Works, all of which are sister companies of Construction Resources, Inc.
Adding even more credentials to his professional history, Construction Resources is one of the only stone fabricators in Georgia to achieve accreditation from the Marble Institute of America (MIA). MIA Accreditation for natural stone fabricators recognizes those companies that meet the industry’s highest standards for business activities, product knowledge, fabrication and installation, and it is a requirement of all Artisan Group members.
Congratulations Mitch; we can’t wait to see what you accomplish during your two-year term!
