Alpharetta Address with Forsyth Perks
When Brian and Kelly Lane married three years ago, they moved into her house in Alpharetta. But the couple quickly began searching for a place that was exclusively theirs. After a thorough search of the options in the area, the two found their ideal home at Hanover Place, just four miles from their front door. And though they didn’t know it at the time, the move also came with a superb builder, Bowen Family Homes.
“I couldn’t believe how very, very accommodating they were,” said Kelly Lane. “Both of us had built houses before and I had never been so impressed with a builder. They were really working for us. It was clear they wanted satisfied customers.”
The Lanes put the builder to the test with several personal requests that were easily incorporated into the two-story, four-bedroom plan they selected. One of the biggest changes was reconfiguring a first-floor bedroom into an annex of the family room to accommodate Kelly Lane’s grand piano.
“We wound up moving a wall, doors and making other modifications,” said Brian Kelly. “All along the way, the builder was extremely helpful and willing to work with us. Even the guy who did our final walk-through was very detailed: He got there before we did and caught several things that needed to be fixed. A lot of them were things we probably wouldn’t have seen.”
Hanover Place’s location was the first factor in the couple’s decision to buy. “Kelly works in the Alpharetta area and it was really convenient for me as well,” said Brian Lane. “Even though we moved one exit farther north, it’s easier for me to get to Windward Parkway. And being in Forsyth County was another thing that was really appealing: We have an Alpharetta address but we have the taxes that go along with Forsyth.”
When completed, Hanover Place will feature 212 one- and two-story homes priced from $299,900. Among the floor plans are full basements, formal living rooms, first-floor guest rooms and 2,092 to 4,500 square feet of living space. The community’s layout also won over the Lanes, who compared several neighborhoods before making a final selection.
“One of the things we had trouble with at other places were the lot sizes,” said Kelly Lane. “The houses were right on top of each other. This community was really attractive, with plenty of space between our neighbors. Yet it isn’t an unmanageable tract of land. In fact, the homeowners’ association hires a landscaping service to do the front and the back yard, so maintenance is easy.”
The amenities in the neighborhood were another plus, said Kelly Lane. “They don’t just have a pool – there’s a big area with a slide and a mushroom pool. There are four great tennis courts and they just added a clubhouse. It’s very elaborate. With the square footage in the house, more yard and the amenities, we’re getting a lot more for our money at a better price than what we saw elsewhere.”
