Following a revitalization of Historic Downtown Woodstock, residents now enjoy a vibrant Main Street that features unique local dining and an eclectic mix of shops. For home buyers, there is an abundant mix of condos, townhomes and single-family homes conveniently located within walking distance of the best of Downtown Woodstock. During the 17th Annual Holiday Tour of Homes on Saturday, Nov. 9 and Sunday, Nov. 10, individuals will have the opportunity to experience life near Downtown Woodstock when they stop by the home of Pat and Perry Tanner.
Following their retirement in 2007, the Tanners made the move from Cobb County to Historic Downtown Woodstock. Located at 187 Hubbard Road, their stunning EarthCraft Certified home was built to support the New Urbanism movement that utilized environmentally friendly and efficient products in a custom home. Additionally, the home is in a pedestrian friendly community allowing the Tanners to easily support local culture and business.
Visitors to the Tanner home will be welcomed by breathtaking exteriors that boast the architectural charm and character of a historic Charleston home and features raw copper gas lanterns, a second story porch and intimate courtyard.
Throughout the Holiday Tour of Homes, guests to the Tanner home will view holiday decorations professionally designed by Laurie Prentice, the designer and owner of Linden. When it came to choosing holiday decorations, Prentice was inspired by Pat’s love of nature (she is a master gardener) and her ever present involvement in the beautification and evolution of Downtown Woodstock. Individuals will notice that decorations reflect natural elements in a way that helps to unite indoor and outdoor spaces.
