1010 Midtown Receives a WalkScore of 94
With more people trying to decrease their dependency on cars, live/work/play and mixed use developments have become quite a common commodity in the Atlanta real estate industry. Now, many claim to be “live/work/play,” but only a few communities truly pull it off. Luckily, there is a new way to judge whether or not a development really will eliminate your dependency on a vehicle – the Walk Score. Communities receive a rating from 1 to 100, with 100 being the best and 1 being the worst. 1010 Midtown, Phase I of the 12th & Midtown master planned development, recently received a score of 94.
To give you an idea of what exactly this means, communities that receive a score of 90 to 100 are considered a “Walkers’ Paradise – Most errands can be accomplished on foot and many people get by without owning a car.”
What makes 1010 Midtown a true live, work, play community and a “Walkers’ Paradise”? The impeccable Midtown location. These high rise Atlanta condos are located directly off of Peachtree Street in the Midtown Mile. Across the street from the community is Piedmont Park. Within a couple of blocks you will find eateries such as Twisted Taco, Trois, Front Page News, Oceanaire Seafood Room, Jason’s Deli and so many more. In regards to entertainment, 1010 Midtown is within walking distance to signature Atlanta venues like the High Museum of Art, Fox Theatre, Woodruff Arts Center, 14th Street Playhouse and more. And you can even reach destinations outside of Midtown without the use of a vehicle thanks to the MARTA transit station that is only a block from these high rise Atlanta condos. So, whether you need to get to the Hartsfield-Jackson airport or to Perimeter Mall, you can leave your car behind.
Even though it is a highly walkable community and you could get rid of your car if you wanted, 1010 Midtown does not expect that to be the case. And, for that reason, they offer residents a gated, private parking area – one of many luxury amenities you’ll find at these new Atlanta condos. So, your car is safe and secure until you choose to take it out for a spin.
